A Micro-Task site that offers multiple ways to earn

In this review we will be looking at WommWork.com which is a Cost Per Action (CPA) Micro-Task website that offers multiple ways to earn.

Typically most Micro-Task sites only pay once for completing a Micro-Task, but with WommWork.com you can get paid in 4 different ways for every Micro-Task you complete.

To see if we really got paid, and whether it’s worth using this platform keep reading.

Who provides this Cost Per Action (CPA) service?

This CPA Micro-Task service is provided by The Word of Mouth Marketing Network, who claim to be “one of the world’s most recommended work from home companies” which is certainly a bold claim!

It’s a claim we wanted to investigate.

From our research we’ve found that The Word of Mouth Marketing Network provide advertising services to clients worldwide. They promise to promote their clients using Digital Word of Mouth Marketing by having thousands of independent people to carry out their promotional work.

Asking people to promote different companies in exchange for small payments isn’t a new concept, but likening the service to regular word of mouth marketing (where a friend, colleague, family member etc might recommend a business to use or a product to try) is an interesting spin on the traditional word of mouth concept.

As for their claim of being “one of the world’s most recommended work from home companies” – we found a lot of positive reviews and feedback on their own website and Social Media channels. We believe all these reviews to be genuine as original screenshots and videos submitted by promoters are supplied as proof. There are simply too many for them to be fake!

What can you earn?

There are bold claims that you can earn between $15 – $25 per hour with this company, which is fairly unheard of for completing simple Micro-Tasks.

However, we researched in to these claims and found that it might be possible, as there appears to be 4 different ways to earn using this company, which are:

1) Earning a low amount (often as little as 5 to 10 cents) for every Micro-Task completed (such as promoting a Facebook Post with a website link in it).
2) Earning a payment every time somebody clicks on a website link that’s promoted from the initial Micro-Task you completed.
3) Earning a payment every time someone is referred via the website link that’s promoted from the initial Micro-Task you completed.
4) Earning a commission payment – a fixed $50 is paid every time a purchase is made as a result of the initial Micro-Task you completed.

So, while we don’t think it’s possible to earn $15 – $25 just from completing Micro-Tasks, we DO think it’s possible if the website links you promote end up getting lots of clicks & referrals.

We then think that it would be perfectly possible to earn $15 – $25 per hour, and possibly more if you are a dedicated promoter.

There’s then additional money to be made from commission payments if people buy products / services from your work.

We also liked that what you could earn and what you would be paid for every task was clearly stated throughout the website. Transparency appears to be the key factor here in encouraging promoters to use this service.

What happened when we applied?

We applied by completing a fairly simple application form. It took around 10 minutes to complete and we weren’t asked to many intrusive questions.

We were asked to submit an optional introduction video, but we didn’t do this.

After we submitted our application we were told it would be checked and we would get a decision in 5 days.

3 days later we received an email saying our application had been accepted and we could begin working.

We then found out working for this company might not be as straight-forward as we first thought!

After our application was accepted we logged in to the website to begin work but first had to agree to certain “terms of working”.

We felt these “terms of working” were quite stringent!

The main one was that our work would always be judged by the amount of people who clicked on website links we promoted.

A full explanation was given along with a demonstration system. Basically, they require for every 1 cent you earn completing Micro-Tasks (such as promoting a company on Social Media) you NEED to achieve 1 person clicking on the website links you promote.

You won’t be paid until you achieve it!

However, you do get an unlimited amount of time to achieve it, so it might be that it just takes a while to get the required number of people clicking on the website links you promote.

For example, if you complete $10 worth of Micro-Tasks (by promoting different companies on Social Media) you will need 1000 people clicking on the website links you’ve promoted in order to get paid.

It seems hard, so let’s find out if we managed it or not.

The targets we were set seemed hard, so did we meet them?

Knowing that the goal was to get 1 person to click on a website link for every 1 cent we earned we thought it would be hard.

However, we were provided with the images, text & website links we needed to use. We were also told where we would have the most success posting adverts to, so really the work was quite straight-forward and ended up being a lot of copy / paste work for us. If you don’t want to follow the advice given you are also told that you can use whatever promotional methods you like.

Knowing that the goal was to get 1 person to click on a website link for every 1 cent we earned we thought it would be hard.

Turns out it wasn’t hard at all!

We decided to complete just $10 worth of Micro-Tasks by posting adverts online. This would mean we would need 1000 website clicks.

What happened was that it took us around 3 hours to complete $10 worth of Micro-Tasks. Then around 2 days later we had over 1400 website clicks. This meant that we had met our target and qualified for our money.

However, from those 1400+ website clicks we actually earned more than we thought.

What did we earn?

We earned $10 from completing Micro-Tasks but we also earned additional money from people clicking the website links in our adverts and from people signing up to services from our adverts.

Here’s what we earned:

  • $10.00 from Micro-Tasks.
  • $14.56 from 1456 people clicking on the website links we promoted.
  • $3.82 from 382 people registering for services via the website links we promoted.

So in total we earned $28.38 from 3 hours worth of work.

That works out to be $9.46 an hour. Not quite the $15 to $25 per hour suggested, but a really good hourly rate.

Plus, at the time of writing this, people are still clicking and being referred from the original Micro-Tasks we completed – so we’re still earning passive income payments!

Is it possible to earn the $15 to $25 per hour that’s suggested?

As we mentioned, we earned $28.38 from 3 hours worth of work which works out to be $9.46 an hour.

So we wanted to then find out how we could earn the $15 to $25 per hour it’s claimed you can make.

The key to earning more however, is investing your own money in different software upgrades. Software upgrades that are designed to help you promote more and increase your income.

Does it cost anything to work with WommWork.com?

Throughout the website it is made clear that no money is required to work with this company. We went through and submitted an application and weren’t asked for any money.

However, once we were approved it became clear that you may need to invest in order to improve your promotional work – which will ultimately increase the amount you’re paid.

It was made clear to us throughout the website and in several emails we received that if we invested in different promotional services & software the amount we could earn would significantly increase.

For Example:

  • Your earnings per website click would increase from 1 cent up to 50 cents – but only if you pay for a more advanced website tracking link.
  • Your earnings per referral would increase from 1 cent up to 50 cents – but only if you pay to join the referral program.
  • Your earnings per completed Micro-Task would increase from $2.50 per hour up to $5.00 per hour – but only if you get a featured profile so more companies will choose you to work with them for higher paying jobs.

However, without these upgrades our earnings would remain limited.

This concept of asking people to use a companies recommended promotional software / services etc is similar to other Micro-Task sites such as Yoonla or Clickbank.

So did we upgrade?

Throughout the period of 3 weeks we worked for The Word of Mouth Marketing Network we were able to keep working and earning money without ever having to pay anything.

So basically, no, we didn’t upgrade.

However, we’ve read and watched videos of lots of positive reviews from people working for this company. We’ve also found no negative feedback from Google searches etc.

Are there any negatives?

No online job / work from home opportunity is without its flaws and working for The Word of Mouth Marketing Network is no different.

The main negative we found was that you HAVE TO MAKE SURE that your work achieves the results required. So if you completed $10 worth of Micro-Tasks you HAVE TO GET 1000 people clicking on the website links you’ve promoted.

You won’t be paid until you do!

It seems a big challenge, but truthfully we found it very easy.

Also, most Micro-Task websites have some sort of targets to meet for you to get paid. After all, they’re not just going to pay you for nothing and they’re not going to pay you if you’re work doesn’t give the required results.

Finally, the other negative we found was that the work can be quite repetitive. If you’re an aspiring marketer you may have lots of exciting ways you can promote website links, but for some people it will simply be a case of copying and pasting adverts over and over again – which can get quite boring!

Would we recommend working with The Word of Mouth Marketing Network?

There are several negatives to consider, such as repetitive work and daunting looking targets to achieve. However we would absolutely recommend this job. It’s 100% transparent in everything it does, has some of the best pay-rates in the world for a Micro-Task website and is run by someone you can actually contact.

Plus, you are promoting genuine services and doing some honest work for some honest pay.
